Problem-Empty Cart?If you add a product to your shopping cart, but then the cart remains empty, then the problem is probably due to a "Cookie" setting on your web browser. The guide below allows you to quickly check and change the setting. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, (IE6) on a standard PC On the top bar of your Browser, click on Tools, then select Internet Options. Choose the Privacy tab, then Cookies. Select Edit in the 'Websites- To override cookie handling for individual websites' box. Enter www.thehobbyhouse.co.uk then click on Allow. The website will appear in the list below as an allowed site. If you are using Internet Explorer 5 on a standard PC Select Internet Options... from the Tools menu. Select Security and make sure the security level is set to Medium, then select Privacy and make sure the privacy level is set to Medium. More information available from Microsoft. If you are using Netscape 6 on a PC, Mac or Linux System Select Preferences... in the Edit menu. Select Advanced, then Cookies. Make sure Enable all cookies is selected. Other causes of this problem could be that the date is set incorrectly on your computer. This confuses our cookies (they have expiration dates). Check to see that the date is set accurately on your computer. or If you are accessing our website via a 'Proxy Server' that is deleting cookies automatically. You should contact your network administrator to determine whether your organisation's proxy server is the source of the problem Note: Cookies are a standard way of storing information on your computer and are used by the majority of shopping websites, such as in this case, to remember what you have placed in your shopping cart. |
